He's been to the show a couple times, I think, and he wants to come back to talk about smoothing, specifically Mr. Pol Lanski, the CEO of Dappnode decentralisation flagbearer. [00:01:14] Pol Lanski: Thank you. Yeah. That's right. The centralisation flag bearer. I love that one. I. There's got to be somebody waving the flag for decentralisation. I'm super glad to be here, man. I'm super glad to be here. It's always an absolute pleasure to be chatting with you guys. It feels. It doesn't feel like a podcast. It feels more like a like a conversation at a bar, you know? Should

[00:01:40] Fergulati: Exactly what we're trying to do here.

[00:01:42] Fergulati: Well we all we have to do, there's some blocking and tackling that you have to do in podcasting. So for the European audience, that's like basic football play. All right. And we have to give you a chance to reintroduce yourself. Sorry American football player. I don't want to be too disrespectful. We had to give you a chance to introduce yourself to our audience. So who is Polanski? What does he really do? How did he get bit by the crypto bug? Just the typical the podcast. Things that we have to do.

[00:02:11] Pol Lanski: Right on. Okay. So so yeah Polanski I so I'm currently the project lead at DApp node, as you said. And I got into crypto back in 2014 when I've got like actually I got into Bitcoin a little bit before and, but from like a very different reason. Like, in fact, I'm Spanish, I come from Spain and Spain had like a really bad financial crisis. And we got to learn all Spaniards got to learn a really hard lesson that you don't really get political sovereignty without economic Sovereignty. And when there was the financial crisis that started in 2008, 910 Spain got hit with a package of policies that were dictated by the, the European the European Central Bank. Really? So that's how we got to discover this hard lesson. And Bitcoin for me was like, wow, wait a minute. Way way way way way. So you're telling me that you can create your own economic systems that are open source and affordable? If you don't like it, you can create a new one. You can create Litecoin, you can create Dogecoin and sort of like move and opt in to these economic systems. And you can just create them until you find one that you like. That is that was mind blowing. That was how I got into into Bitcoin. And then in 2014, I realised that I was kind of late to mining bitcoin. So I just started mining Dogecoin and that was my my beginnings in crypto and turn turned out turns out that it was a terrible, terrible decision financially until Elon decided

[00:04:10] Pol Lanski: Yeah, exactly. Until Elon decided to pump my bags. And then I discovered that I had lost the that wallet. That's another story.

[00:04:19] Fergulati: You just hurt me. That just hurt

[00:04:23] Pol Lanski: Oh. So since then I have done a few things in crypto. I've. I've worked with giveth. I've worked in item three and then Hermes that then got acquired by polygon and is now the polygon ZK, EVM. And all along since 2019 I have been working with DApp node. So a couple of years ago I took over sort of like the leading the project of of DApp node And since then we've become probably like the the the easiest way for people to run any sort of nodes, especially validators. That's I would say the biggest use case for node is people running validators on Ethereum nodes, chain, luxo, avalanche, etc. but you can run anything that you want on.
