The λPrize programme will award up to $500,000 in total prizes to builders who create real-world applications on the Logos stack.

Logos has announced the launch of the λPrize (Lambda Prize), a new builder incentive programme designed to fast-track the development of real, working applications on its decentralised technology stack.

Launched on 16 April, the initiative will award up to $500,000 in total prizes to developers who deliver production-ready, privacy-preserving software ahead of the Logos mainnet launch.

Rewarding builders for shipping code

The λPrize programme takes a different approach to traditional grant schemes, rewarding outcomes rather than ideas or proposals.

Builders are expected to submit working code that meets clearly defined criteria, aiming to turn ideas into usable tools as quickly as possible.

The programme also incentivises contributors to build during the testnet phase of the Logos network, creating a pipeline of applications ready for mainnet.

Logos co-founder Jarrad Hope said the initiative is designed for builders focused on real-world impact.

“Technology should serve people, solving real-world problems that matter to communities. λPrize is for builders who want to create privacy-preserving, resilient systems that can’t exist elsewhere. We’re rewarding outcomes and shipping, not decks,” he said.

The λPrize is open to anyone ready to build.

This includes developers experienced with decentralised networks, open-source contributors, and privacy-focused engineers, as well as developers exploring decentralised systems for the first time.

Students, early-stage founders, and small dev studios are also encouraged to participate.

All participants will work with the Logos stack through Logos Basecamp, a ready-to-run distribution that allows builders to get started immediately.

Prizes and challenges

Builders who meet the prize criteria will receive a share of up to $500,000, made available to fund the programme, with prize amounts linked to the scope of work defined for each challenge.

Builders can choose from a growing list of practical challenges focused on useful, privacy-first tools that reflect Logos’ broader goal of enabling resilient digital infrastructure.

These include applications such as a censorship-resistant whistleblower platform or an anonymous forum with moderation controls and membership revocation.

At the higher end, prizes include decentralised exchanges, NFT marketplaces, launchpads, derivatives platforms and lending protocols. These sit alongside a broad set of smaller, more targeted challenges covering areas such as wallet tooling, privacy attestations, identity primitives, developer tooling and DAO infrastructure.

Listed prizes currently range from $400 to $1,200, depending on the scope of the work required. There is no strict criterion for prize amounts; each is directly linked to the amount of work required to deliver the app or tool.

Alongside financial rewards, participants gain direct access to the Logos engineering team through office hours, livestreams and ongoing technical support.

There is also a longer-term opportunity for early builders in the λPrize programme. Projects that show traction can move into broader funding pathways and become part of the ecosystem as it approaches mainnet.

Submissions and evaluation

Submissions for λPrize challenges are handled through GitHub and follow a clear, structured process.

Builders must create a markdown file in the solutions/ directory using the relevant prize ID, complete a short template describing their approach, and link to a working implementation. Supporting materials can also be included.

Once ready, the submission is made via a pull request titled in the format:

Solution: LP-XXXX — <Short Description>

Where multiple teams compete for the same prize, the first valid submission that satisfies all success criteria will be accepted, based on the pull request timestamp.

Each team can submit up to three times per prize, with no more than one submission or review per week. Initial feedback is intentionally simple, with a pass-or-fail outcome based on whether the criteria have been met.

For challenges that require a demo, submissions must include a narrated video walkthrough that clearly explains what has been built, why it was designed that way, and how it works in practice.

Builders looking for more detailed input are encouraged to engage with the community on Discord, where they can discuss ideas and receive guidance from evaluators and other participants.

Laying the groundwork for mainnet

The λPrize programme is intended to accelerate the development of the Logos stack and ecosystem in preparation for the mainnet launch of the Logos network.

By incentivising shipped code during the testnet phase, Logos is creating a pathway for developers to contribute directly to the ecosystem and shape what reaches mainnet.

Building on the Logos testnet, whether you are solving λPrize challenges or creating your own apps that leverage the decentralised Logos technology stack, is an active step towards democratising the internet and rekindling civil society.

This is your chance to be a part of building the infrastructure that will unlock a new frontier for everyone, free from censorship and centralised control.

Join the expedition. Head to the Logos Builder Hub or download Logos Basecamp to get started.
